saw this written on one of the pages of my study notebook as i was randomly browsing: 

BRAINWAVE! 


each individual lives in multiple worlds/realities, comprising of physical worlds, virtual worlds and fantasies etc.  


the intricacies/complexities of each world and how they interact with one another form our epistemology, personality and values 


therefore, language, per se, is not instinctive. rather, it is the need/tendency to master language that is.

i'm sure someone else has reached the same conclusion before. just feels more bemusing knowing that i had done so without prior prompt or inspiration.
