this year's birthday celebration was everything i hoped to have... and much more than that. to be honest, it looks exactly like a chapter out of a fairytale fable. a whole week filled with amazing company, sweet surprises and truckloads of love. every princess's dream. ((:
22 is not a particularly special age, but it's an age where i can look and say that i'm standing at a very special point in my life. so immensely fortunate to have met my special someone (who's amazing in all ways). now every birthday spent with him seems so frickin' awesome.
epicsurprise#1: so it started off with niang and ruiqi coming to surprise me at my hall on the night of the 5th ((: it touches me especially knowing that they've taken the effort to come all the way down to my hall (not exactly the most accessible place in Singapore). but yes, girlfriends always make time for each other.
even though they didn't stay very long, but their company is always the best remedy. six years and counting! i love you all (:
epicsurprise#2: sooooooo this was the boy's plan to surprise me before the clock struck midnight on the 6th this was what he was doing in my room while i was away in the studio... sneaky boy!
over a hundred colourful balloons in the tiny room... not a grand gesture but it's the big love behind these actions that count the balloons didn't last very long (we had a great time popping them afterwards) but they made for very pretty pictures and a very touched girl at the end.
epicsurprise#3: this was on the actual day of the 6th! a super insane running man birthday celebration (princess themed) planned singlehandedly by B, with the help of this bunch of crazy friends. super touched that they made the effort to come down on a working/schooling day. EVEN THOUGH THE WHOLE THING TURNED OUT TO BE A SCAM T.T why must I always get tricked every year...

epicsurprise#4: this last surprise isn't publicised on Facebook... in fact it's so recent that i just came back from it. but it's also my favourite: a surprise private staycation at the five-star Beaufort Hotel Sentosa with the boy! ((:

remember a few posts back I was talking about going to the beach after the hectic dtt period? B finally indulged my wish and what we did in those quality hours together was a romantic beach lover's dream. we cycled our way around the beaches, played with the waters, the sand, and caught the sunset while having a picnic by the waves... at night we watched The Matrix in each other's arms and crashed into our king-sized bed with the fluffy pillows.
the boy obviously loves his bed.

complimentary cake by the hotel because they gave us a dirty room when we first checked in! the Singaporean in us were having a field day.
